The 2400 Series Gun-Kote is a true one-part bake on protective coating. Our one part system means no hardeners that have to be mixed into the coating.  Whatever is not used is simply poured back into the original can.  Its much easier to work with and there is no pot-life that needs to be considered.  There is no waste.

The 2400 Series provides excellent abrasion, chemical and impact resistance.  The coating is guaranteed not to Chip Flake, Peel or Rust Creep.  Most important the coating displays excellent coating layer to coating layer adhesion or a need to be concerned about how long the coating has been sitting before you have to use it.  There is no window for re-coating or repair work.

The 2400 Series has an average particle size less than 10 Microns.  Given the relative size of the particle means you can lay several colors down and have the final finish feel like one smooth color.

The 2400 Series is the backbone of our coating lines.  It is our most popular Series.  Some of the uses include:

• Exterior of weapons (including magazines)
• heavy artillery and bomb casings
• Engine blocks and headers to dissipate the heat
• Transmission cases and rear end housing to transfer heat from housings
• Radiators, oil and transmission coolers to dissipate heat
• Brake Calipers
• Outboard motors
• Motorcycle parts to include external motor parts
• Boats, cleats and other marine hardware
• The 2400 Series is a hard, abrasion resistant coating which meets or exceeds all military and aerospace specifications for protective coatings.  With a pencil hardness of greater then 9H, the 2400 Series will provide a 180-degree bend and is formulated to provide excellent impact resistance, lubricity (meets military dry firing specifications), heat dissipation, chemical resistance, corrosion protection, durability and scratch resistance. The cured coating will not attract dirt or dust.  The 2400 Series of coatings can be sprayed and formulated to meet specific customers’ needs.     

• Marketed under the trademark Gun-Kote since 1969, it has proven to be an outstanding generalpurpose coating for use in the sporting goods, construction, general light to heavy industrial markets. Gun-Kote can also be custom formulated to meet specific needs for extra lubricity, corrosion, hardness or durability. 

• The 2404F Flat Dark Earth color was formulated at the request of the Naval Surface Warfare Center - CRANE and specified for use on the original SOCOM Weapons (SPR’s) being deployed for Afghanistan.  The Federal 595 Color Code for the 2404F is FS 33446 Desert Tan.
